Nurses Available was started as a private duty nursing agency in 1979 to serve the residents of Lancaster County. The mission then and now is to provide a cost effective alternative to admitting a loved one to a nursing home and to supplement government home care programs that can't provide the amount of patient care needed. The Berks County, PA and the Baltimore, MD metropolitan area offices were opened in 1986. In 1990, all offices began filling the staffing needs of nursing homes, hospitals, doctors' offices and other health care settings. We currently provide staffing to the above in the following PA counties: Berks, Lancaster, Chester, York, Schuylkill, and Lebanon. The MD office staffs the Baltimore metropolitan area including Harford and Howard counties.
